Support the cause / run what you know - then build what you can make run ! we did a bbc also fits well and they make headers for that too .Yes jegs and summit both have conversion headers listed for around 400 dollars or if working on a budget you can modify a set of 1972 chevy truck headers by cutting some tubes and redirecting them ,they are the right hieght to be close to the floor .I have also used g body clipster headers in a 79 capri (foxbody ) .Good luck on the build

The stock k member fit both the bbc and the sbc .The webbing on the back side of the stock k member needs to be trimmed for more room for the starter and for the bbc headers , but we moved on to the AJE k member with the bbc then put the small block in it to finish out the year .That is when I made those headers fit from the 72 gmc truck modified 3 tubes on drivers side ,and slightly angled the passenger side .It took an afternoon -not bad .We did plate the bbc and the sbc in the race car ,but the 79 capri had chevy mounts with a conversion kit like the v-8 s-10 conversion kit and the clipster headers fit .
