orangejuiced86 I need rep points!
Default Garage Exaust fan project

I know some guys are very into their garages around here so I thought I would just share what I did today. I am going to build a filter box tomorrow. My wife always gets nervous when I actually take a day off of work as she never knows what I am going to do. I cant seem to sit still...

Anyways enjoy..

You are a little shorter than I remember and I see you grew your hair out

What type of filters are you going to use?

Thanks. I primed a fender the other day and very little overspray was floating while I was spraying so it appears to work ok.

This fan is rated at 7k cfm, which I think is slightly exaggerated, but I have 6 vents on the other end and it is still unable to work to its fullest potential. I put an additional 4 roof vets up top and 2 vents in the back wall. The shutter wont fully open unless I crack the side door.

I purchased the fan from Northerntool.com it was like $250 or something.

I almost wish I would have just installed a small window in the front of the garage that I could insert a filter in, but in the winter the fresh air all has to run past the tube heater I have hanging so it kind of works better for winter projects.
