I have done just under 800lbs on a shrug machine with the weights stacked everywhere. Straight barbell is WAY harder!

I have never tried it on a straight bar. That weight just sounds insane!! Do people just stare at you when you lift that big bar up??

They were yesterday. Half the gym was watching me do standing bent over rows, take 30-45 second breather, then shrugs, take 30-45 second breather, then standing bent over rows, etc. I felt good yesterday...like hell today.
