That is a cool idea. I have plans to do that in my basement, with a bent Mustang Bullit wheel that I have cut in half. The project is still in the works though.

I actually have them standing on end as end tables. I think I've posted pics before. One has a lamp with the three aimable lights coming off the top with DOHC valve covers aroudn the lamp pole and the other has the crank coming out of the 1st main with a touch light on top of the snout.
