Your ford taurus weighs about 3200 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 17.313 seconds. That means that you've got about 121.88 HP at the wheels, and about 158.44 HP at the flywheel.

crazy for a car rated 140hp, 160tq from the factory. eh?

might be acurate for rwd. but deff not for my car. there is no way i got 18 flywheel hp by removing air box and doin muffler and using synthetic oil.

Your 05gt weighs about 3750 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 13.73 seconds. That means that you've got about 286.36 HP at the wheels, and about 372.26 HP at the flywheel.

(Yes, my car really weighs that much with my fat ass driving... )

How do they figure flywheel/rw ratio? I didn't think there was that much lost before it gets to the wheels..
