Default Bump Steer Alignment Shop in Michigan

I have purchased the baer tracker bump steer kit for my lowered fox body mustang. I need a local shop in michigan that can align for bump steer. Anybody know of any in lower michigan. I live in Flint but work in Southfield so any where in between there would work. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't get Belle-Tire to even alighn my car after I put a new 90/10 struts on. They told me the struts were bad. This after they had the car for 3 hours! I'd go w/ Slims. Too many dumbass kids at some of the local tire places!

Just have a regular alignment done. The bump steer kit is already supposed to correct a bump steer condition, which will keep the toe alignment constant throughout the range of suspension travel. You don't "align for bump steer" - any alignment shop should be able to check for it though. With the front wheel alignment sensors on, have the alignment guy lift the front end up until the tires come off the turntables, and then pull it down until the suspension bottoms out, and watch for any significant change in toe - there should be little if any with the kit installed.

Thanks for the info, It just said in the directions to have it bump steer aligned, I didn't know exactly what it meant, there are spacers on the bottom and top and it said to have the shop put them where they needed to be. Thanks

Actually, I didn't realize that your kit was adjustable. In that case, it should be checked after installation, and adjusted with the shims until bumpsteer has been minimized. It can be checked with some basic tools by yourself, but it involves removing the front springs. You should call Baer and ask them for a baseline shim arrangement, just as a starting point.

It does specify to place the medium shim on the top and the rest on the bottom for a baseline. Thanks for the info, it makes sense to me now
