Default manual rack question

I was told a mustang II rack would work on a fox body. I didn't think that they would just wanted to confirm. In pics they look shorter.

79-82 mustang racks. they are like 90bucks from autozone. with warranty, so if you do a big wheelie and break it when you land you can get a new one for free. dont ask me how i know this, lol

Only thing i would recommend when doing this is putting a race joint in place of the rag joint. The rag joints get a little sloppy after a while. I baught one outta summit with the correct shaft size and spline count. Installed the rack, mocked up the shaft, cut it down and had a REPUTABLE shop weld the knuckle on the factory shaft. I think i paid 95 for the knuckle, well worth the price for a joint that will never need to be replaced. And it takes up mych less room at the joint.

very good point. If that rag joint fails at speed you could be in trouble.

Think they're now around $120 w/ core. I'll have to check the next time I work. Also I believe one from a fairmont should work also.
