Default end the diet vs workout debate

My brother and I are cutting weight for spring. I say diet is more important, he says exercise and eat whatever. We both know the best thing is to do both, but what is more effective if you had to choose one or the other?

I've read all over the place that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.

Well I have the abs covered, by about 4 inches of waistline that was made in the kitchen

you CANT out train a shitty diet. Trust me....I have GOOD genetics and no way in hell would I look or feel the way i do without a good diet
