Mechanic Shops on the Eastside...
Ok, 1st off, let me just say that I am well aware of the fact that doing this work is easy and would save me money if I did it myself. I know that, but my time is worth more than what is would likely cost to have the work done. I can, and have done this work before, I just have no desire to do it now.
Anyway, here's what I need...
I need a low priced (and reliable) shop on the Eastside (Sterling Heights, Clinton Twp, Roseville, etc) that can:
Change my front and rear differential fluids
Change my transmission fluid
Change my brake pads on all 4 corners
and
Rotate all 4 rotors
I need this work done on my 2004 Ford Explorer, V8, 4WD which only has 36,000 miles on it. I want all synthetic fluids, so I will purchase all of the fluids and pads before hand. I just need a quote on labor and time to get the work done.
Suggestions?
Thanks.
Alberto

I called and told them to get back to you asap. He has been very busy, not to make excuses, he should be calling you today. If for some reason he does not call you let me know, I have refered tons of people to him and never had a complaint. If all goes well I'll be trying to go to work for him as a tech.

I have had work done at BellTire on Gratiot north of 13 mile and on Hall Road in Sterling Heights. Both provide excellent service and good prices as well.
Regarding providing your own parts, many shops won't do that because if something goes wrong there can be too much finger pointing as well as possible liability issues I imagine.
I may be headed up there soon to have them rebuild the front end (tie rods, etc) on my GMC. Things are getting loose at 170K

I am not posting in this thread to start shit...
Unless the rotors are warped or there was a binding issue which I doubt there is... Leave them... Otherwise you are opening a whole new can of worms...

I think one of the front rotors are slightly warped. There is a tiny bit of steering wheel pulsation when I get on the brakes.
