Depending on your opinion (and which side of the Atlantic Ocean you hail from) you might say very few good things came from the marriage of Chrysler to Daimler. Yet together they managed to make some great cars, including the SRT line of performance vehicles. Having a fast car is one thing, knowing how to drive it altogether something else.
Red Letter Dodge is reporting a new program from Chrysler called the
SRT Experience, which helps SRT owners get the most out of their high horsepower vehicles.

The SRT Experience grew out of the Dodge “Super Beard” contest from last year. Winners with the best beards were given a gift certificate to an SRT Track event where they got a chance to drive many of the SRT vehicles from across the Chrysler lineup. This included the SRT8 Challenger, Charger, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300C. No, no Vipand yes, even the SRT10 Viper. Just for good measure, there is even the SRT4 Caliber.
The SRT Experience builds on that by offering enthusiasts a chance to learn how to master these vehicles. Professional driving instructors from the Richard Petty Driving School will show hardcore SRT fans how to properly flog these high horsepower machines. This includes drag racing, a slalom course, and autocross. If you think you are up to the challenge, make sure you sign up for this experience. The cost is $500 for the full day, unless you’ve purchased your SRT vehicle in the past year; if that is the case, your experience is already paid for. If ever you needed an excuse to buy yourself that SRT8 Challenger, this is it.
