Anybody heard of or tried P90X??
My wife got this about 5 months ago and it's pretty fucking intense!! It uses mostly your body weight for resistance (push ups, pull ups, etc) and some weights on certain exercises.
I did it religiously for about 3 months and just kinda petered out. I lived the low carb, high protien life with the shakes and all that crap. I think the summer and the heat finally got to me!!
The wife still does it every night and has lost more than 10# she probably didn't need to lose.
I noticed some gains, shed some serious weight (about 25 lbs) got a little stronger, but it wasn't the same as "hitting the weights".
The problem is, I don't have time for gym bullshit!! The closest one is MILES away, out here!! And you can only lift so much weight in the garage by yourself before you drop a bar on your throat.
With all the weight I have lost maybe 1 pant size, and I still eat decent and haven't gained anything back, but I'm still sportin' the beer belly I built through my 20s!!
Just curious if anyone has any experiance with these videos??

Can't say that I have. I can't get motivated to workout at home. I need to clang plates and be around others doing the same.

Here is a thread about - http://www.detroitracing.net/forums/...ead.php?t=4517
I'd do it, the program looks very good, best 'at home' program I've ever seen. I didn't end up buying it because I was between houses and at the new place there isn't a spare room...

I just got this from a buddy. my garage is cleaned out(enough). After the first week in December when I get back from Florida(Disney) I am going to put a t.v. and dvd player out in the garage and start this. I just cant seem to get motivated to go to the gym anymore. I tried and its just too hard with 3 little ones. PLus I was lifting by myself and it just got old.
Either way, I am going to try this out and I'll report back.

I'm gonna try it. It was free. worth a shot. I cant see it not working. The diet is pretty good and the workouts seem pretty intense.

The diet in here seems to be pretty much spot on with the stuff I used to eat. And the workouts last about an hour. I'm excited about this. I just needed a break from the gym routine. Maybe if i have success with this I might get back in the gym. I've been on nights for about 5 months now and leaving the morning to workout when my kids are up and fresh full of energy is just so hard. This I can walk right into my garage after work.

Cool, I'll do it again too then. Then we can make fun of each other for being pussys.
It's tough man. I never did get to the point where I could get through a whole workout. There's a guy in there who has a prostetic leg that could get through the whole workout and I couldn't!!
There's also a chick named Marain or something who's nips are hard all the time. Little titties, but hard nips. She's not really hot though, so don't get to excited.
Good luck!!!

the program is about 50gig. If you give me 15 re-writable DVD's ill burn you a set.
Err I mean I will give you the originals in exchange for a set of blanks. But the oringinals are disguised as blanks dvd's so if someone breaks into your home they wont steal them.
