I never cared for bolt together converters, never saw one that didn't leak

A shop I worked for in the 70's that made bolt together converters for drag cars. (using 10" Vega cores)I never saw one leak before
They were quite common in the late 40's- early 50's.
Mikes is a 245mm I believe.
This one by transmission specialty's is a 10"
