Extreme Pro Stock driver Cale Aronson will have a new sponsor for this weekend’s ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags VI at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, Michigan.Aronson Motorsports recently announced that CarSafe will be a major sponsor on Aronson’s 2010 XPS Mustang.“I am really looking forward to having (CarSafe owner) Mark Eckman and his company as part of our team,” Aronson said. “He is excited to be involved with drag racing and has a genuine love of the sport.”CarSafe, a United States leader in extended vehicle service contracts, recently became a major sponsor with the ADRL and will be working with Aronson Motorsports to provide a tailor-made experience for the fans.Eckman also expressed his delight in working with Aronson Motorsports.“This is a very exciting development for everyone at CarSafe as it represents our first motorsports team partnership,” Eckman said. “We considered several options, but it soon became clear that the XPS team of Aronson Motorsports offered the best opportunity and audience for CarSafe products.”The sponsorship will begin in Martin with Aronson’s XPS entry, and will allow the team to house the ADRL Autograph Zone, where drivers from every category sign autographs for the fans.In all aspects, Aronson viewed this as momentum for his team.“Our new partnership will allow us to work more closely with the ADRL and showcase the XPS category, as well as help us with funding that keeps us in the game, so to speak,” Aronson said. “We have never been the most heavily-funded team, however, we have always been able to hold our own.”Aronson said he will work heavily with CarSafe to develop different ways to benefit their company, their team and the ADRL.But Aronson will be focused on racing this weekend as well.He currently sits eighth in the standings in XPS and hopes to make a move in Martin in what so far has been an up-and-down season.“We’ve have been working to find our consistency. That was always our best weapon and I have not had it this year,” Aronson said. “We have fixed those issues that took us more than 20 passes to put our finger on, but we feel confident we have done that.“We are really looking forward to the Martin race as it is such a great facility and is going to be a race sponsored by Ford, which is one of our longtime sponsors.”
