Default Cam selection ?

Here is the combo..

SBF 306 with a 175-250 shot
iron GT40 heads stock bolt down rockers
gt40 intake
30lb injectors/matching mass air
3.73 gears 26 inch tires
five speed for now (possible auto coming)

The car is a full weight lx. Mostly street driven on pump gas. Is there any off the shelf cams that will work well with this combo? I was told B303?

I had a stock bottom end 302
B-cam
Trick flows
trick flow intake
24LBS injectors
4.10 w/ 28x10.5
c4 w/ tight converter

Went 12.5x's on motor @ 107
Went 11.20 on 150 shot @ 109-Let off at 900 ft. I'm guessing it would've wen't 10.80's.
B-cam LOVES the nitrous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. I wouldn't spray anything over a 175 w/ the 5 spd.

Thanks.

I have heard b-with nos and e-with blower/turbo. I just needed some reassurance since my info is dated.

If I could afford those heads it would be awesome, but my wallet isnt as fat as the old days.

Would the 30lb be too much? Would it cause drivability issues? This is a street car that will see alot of 1/4 mile passes including some at the strip.

I dont plan on the bigger shot till I get an auto. The powershift to 3rd would most likely kill the poor thing. I have locked one up cock stiff before going into 3rd on the street, not fun while it was happening, but afterwards it was cool

I'd say it may be a little much on the injectors. Mine ran rich with only 24 LBS and it had just a little more motor. If the N20 kit you have is a wet kit, I would go down to a 24Lbs...If it is dry, stay with the 30's

I am shooting to have it done by spring. Hopefully it will happen.

wet kit, plate system. I havent bought any support pieces yet. Just getting info as to what would be wise investments.

Default cam

I have a B in a carbed car stock short block, and c-4 with right converter gt 40's that are wore out, and 1.72 bolt downs. 12.40 on motor 10.70's on 175 with an RPM intake. And the F is a way better choice for turbo/blower

Default cam selection

get a TFS stage 2 if you have your pistons have been notched, if not use a TFS stage 1. the split duration will make good power with the nitrous. I'm using stage 3(.574"/.595" 233/248) with stock factory forged pistons with the valve pockets enlarged and deepend for 2.05"/1.60" valves. if you go with the B cam, use 1.7 rockers and some good valve springs and retainers.

You can get away with the Stage 2 without notching if you retard it 4 deg. That's the way we used to do it back in the day. The TFS stage 2 is the same cam as the original AFM B4 camshaft.
