The '69 heads are better. Smaller combustion chamber which increases compression and it burns alot better then those huge chambers on the 88 heads. Lots of people run good numbers with '69-'71 heads, 302 or 351's. ten times better then the stock 88 heads. ONly thing I am unsure of is if the '69 heads take the larger 18mm spark plugs. For free, hell yea.
