Last weekend at the NMCA WEST World Street Finals at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, longtime west coast doorslammer racer Mike Bowman scooted his familiar Chevelle to a new national record elapsed time of 5.952 with a series of 250+ mph runs.
